Ancient, Andhra Janapada (5th-4th Century BC), Silver Repousse PMC, 0.23 gms, 9.47 mm, Obverse: Elephant to left with trunk hanging down, Reverse: Outline / impression of obverse punch (due to repousse technique having been used). The design of the elephant motif is similar to that on the half karshapanas of the Andhra Janapada series, Rajgor # Series 3, Type 29, Pg. 27, Un-cleaned (Nice original patina), very fine, extremely rare.
