Inscription: Shah Alam II, Rev: Cross (mint mark), Bharuch was a Princely State during British rule in India. It is located on the northern bank of river Narmada, about 30 miles from the Gulf of Cambay. It was one of the important ports on the sea route to Europe, The town of Bharuch (Broach) did not have a mint till the Nawabs became independent of the Mughals and established their own mint some time late in the reign of Ahmed Shah Bahadur, KM #C36 & C#A36, very fine, rare as a set.
